What LHC.institute is
Light Hedron Collider is a physics game played on curved space above a black hole. LHC.institute uses that game as an experimental implementation of Spectral Chain, the applied volume of Quansistor Field Computing (QFC).
LHC is also the pilot game of Quansistor.games, a platform for several games that will share one NFT pass, the Quansistor. Everything built here (transcripts, Anti-Bot Proof, certificates, the ICP → NEAR → Kaspa stack and the Google Play release) is built for the platform, not only for this game.
The game is the instrument, not the goal. It produces real human interaction, it has a real reason for bots to cheat (scores, leaderboards, a mintable game pass), and its rules are deterministic enough to be re-checked by anyone. That makes it a small, closed laboratory in which the Spectral Chain primitives can be built, measured and attacked end to end:
- Canonical Behavior Transcripts recorded from real play,
- Anti-Bot Proof (QFC-ABP) deciding PASS / FAIL on those transcripts,
- SCC / CSS attestations in the Spectral Attestation Standard (SAS) format,
- QFC-VRF randomness for competitive seasons,
- the Quansistor game pass on NEAR, minted only after a PASS and carrying a structural certificate of the game that earned it.
Every part of this documentation marks its status: LIVE works today on this site, PROTOTYPE exists in code but is not production-ready, PLANNED is specified here and not built yet.
Why a game
Spectral Chain's own case study (Spectral Behavioral Gate for On-Chain Games) names games as the environment where automation hurts most: rewards are tied to activity, bots act faster, scale horizontally and replay optimal strategies. LHC adds three properties that make it a good testbed:
| Property | Why it matters for Spectral Chain |
|---|---|
| Rich, bounded input | Dragging the sling, steering the aiming ring and timing laser shots produce continuous pointer trajectories with human micro-corrections. This is the exact signal the ABP-TGL and ABP-STO profiles measure. |
| Deterministic games | A seed fixes the starting layout and the whole ammo order. The AI arena already runs all bots on the same seeded games (LHC-BENCH-3, seeds 101 / 202 / 303). |
| A built-in adversary supply | The AI arena invites Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok and others to write bots against a public spec. Every arena bot is a labelled adversary for the ABP-AI training loop. |
Primitive map
How each Spectral Chain primitive is used in LHC. Details are on the Spectral Chain page.
| Primitive | Role in LHC | Status |
|---|---|---|
| Determinism (seeded games) | Same seed → same layout and ammo sequence; basis for benchmarks and replays | LIVE |
| Bot API & AI arena | Public spec (LHC-BOT-1), sandboxed bots, local leaderboard; pointer mode lets bots produce their own motion | LIVE |
| CBT (Canonical Behavior Transcript) | Byte-level record of pointer and key events of every game; local, downloadable in Settings → Research | LIVE |
| QFC-ABP (ABP-TGL, ABP-STO) | PASS / FAIL gate for leaderboard entry and Quansistor mint | PLANNED |
| QFC-ABP-AI | Arena bots and human sessions as datasets for versioned profile hardening | PLANNED |
| SAS (SCC / CSS) | One attestation format for mint certificates, score claims and fairness certificates | PLANNED |
| PoQS / SCC (SMRK, N = 32) | Structural certificate embedded in each Quansistor NFT | PLANNED |
| CSS | Certificate that a season's seed and ammo order are structurally neutral (no hidden bias) | PLANNED |
| QFC-VRF | Unpredictable, auditable seeds for public seasons | PLANNED |
| NEAR wallet & payment | Wallet connect and testnet unlock of the banner-free version | PROTOTYPE |
Architecture
LHC follows the Spectral Chain tier split, Computation ≠ Certification ≠ Time. Heavy work stays off the confirmation chain; the confirmation chain stays authoritative; an independent proof-of-work chain fixes time.
Four ecosystems (ICP, NEAR, Kaspa, Google Play) are more than one small game needs. They are here on purpose: LHC rehearses the stack that all Quansistor.games titles will share, while the stakes are still small.
Today only the client tier exists (static site, no server). The game, the arena and the bot spec are deliberately static so that every later tier can re-derive what the client did.
Editions and the Quansistor pass
The game ships on Google Play in two editions: a free demo with banners on the playing sheet, and a full version for a one-time 10 USD that removes them. With the purchase the player can also mint a Quansistor, an NFT pass on NEAR shared by all Quansistor.games titles. Holding a Quansistor removes the banners in every game of the platform wherever the wallet is connected.
The pass is where the research becomes tangible: it is minted only after an Anti-Bot Proof PASS and it carries a Spectral Chain certificate computed from the game that earned it. See Quansistor game pass.
Roadmap
| Phase | Scope |
|---|---|
| 0 · Game LIVE | Game, difficulties, custom mode, AI arena, bot spec, NEAR testnet wallet, banner paywall prototype. |
| 1 · Transcript | CBT recorder in the client (QFC-CBT-V1) and local export LIVE; arena pointer mode LIVE; test vectors and a reference verifier in JavaScript. |
| 2 · Gate | ABP-TGL and ABP-STO profiles tuned on arena bots and human sessions; sealed epochs and calibration markers; ICP canister verifier (light mode first); signed access tokens; the auditability-vs-secrecy experiment. |
| 3 · Pass | Google Play release (demo + full), platform-wide NEAR NFT contract for Quansistor passes with a game registry and SCC/CSS certificates, mainnet. |
| 5 · Platform | The second Quansistor.games title reuses the recorder, verifier, contracts and pass unchanged; only its own ABP profile and game_id are new. |
| 4 · Seasons | QFC-VRF season seeds with CSS fairness certificates, shared leaderboard on NEAR, Kaspa anchoring of season results. |
What this is not
- Not a quantum computer and not a quantum simulation. Spectral certificates certify structure, not physics.
- No claim about the Riemann Hypothesis or any other conjecture.
- Anti-Bot Proof does not eliminate bots. It raises the cost of automation compared with human play, and it is not identity verification. Its central open problem, a public profile that bots can evaluate offline, is stated and addressed on the Spectral Chain page.
- Banner removal is enforced in the client. Anyone can patch a web page; protecting ads is not the point of the project.
- The in-game Quansistors (fuel radiated by the black hole) are not a cryptocurrency and cannot be withdrawn.
